I have been involved in corporate planning. Now I also work as a secretary to the executive officers.

I was looking for a company that handles "intermediate products" and found SMK, a company which is involved in a wide range of businesses. At SMK, female employees play important roles and they also remain with the company for a long time. This point is very important for me. Since I joined the company, I have been involved in corporate planning. Now I am also working as a secretary to the executive officers. My job involves many tasks, including the preparation of profit and expense plans, one-year business plans and medium and long-term business strategy plans, working with a team that organizes TN Business Plan Conference, Keieikeikaku Happyoukai , profit plan simulation, creating documents and minutes for various conferences, reviewing the business continuity plan, managing executive officers' schedules, and English interpretation of the president's speech at monthly morning meetings. Organizing the annual Business Plan Symposium in which executive officers from around the world participate via TV conferencing is particularly important. This one day symposium is a crucial opportunity for SMK to build cohesiveness and solidarity in the company. The Corporate Planning Department acts as the secretariat and we do all we can to make this symposium successful.

Job Satisfaction

Watching SMK's business strategies unfold gives me satisfaction.

The greatest pleasure in my job is being involved in tasks related to corporate policy decisions. I am not simply doing assigned tasks, but I am able to make suggestions to improve such tasks by understanding the point of view of the corporate manager. This is an interesting aspect of my job in corporate planning. Gaining an understanding of accounting, the law and business and seeing SMK's current situation and the outcomes of its business strategies also give me satisfaction. Time really flies, particularly when we are preparing for the symposium. When the symposium finally comes to a successful conclusion, I am always amazed that we managed it. This feeling gives me a deep sense of accomplishment. The business plan, which grows out of the symposium, always reminds me of those who have helped me and I feel profound gratitude.

I would like to be able to think strategically by understanding SMK's position in the business world so that I can be a person whom others can rely on. I would like to challenge myself by putting my experience in corporate planning to use and by always thinking of ways to contribute to the growth of SMK.
