Hiring data, compensation, etc.

Positions Science and engineering: R&D/design, production engineering, computer systems development, quality control, production management, sales engineering, etc.
Arts and letters: Sales, planning, accounting, general affairs, production management, etc.
Majors accepted Science and engineering: Electronics, electrical, precision machinery, mechanical, information, telecommunications, applied physics, materials, applied chemistry, administrative engineering, management engineering, etc.
Arts and letters: Law, economics, management, commerce, political science, foreign languages, social science, etc.
Qualifications Graduate school: Degree anticipated to be awarded by March 2012 (including March 2010 and 2011 graduates)
University: Graduation anticipated by March 2012 (including March 2010 and 2011 graduates)
Salary Actual 2010 starting salaries (base salary)
Master's degree holders: 228,500 yen/month
Bachelor's degree holders: 205,500 yen/month
Technical-college graduates (technical skills): 180,500 yen/month
Raises Once annually (July)
Bonuses Twice annually (June, December)
Allowances Allowances for dependent family members, housing costs or rent assistance, commuting allowance, qualification allowance
(Example) Qualification allowance
・TOEIC score of 860 or above: 10,000 yen/month
・HSK score of 8th grade or above : 10,000 yen/month
Work locations Various facilities in Japan (Student opportunities are not assigned to work overseas unless hired locally by overseas sites)
Work hours Flextime system
・Core hours: 10:20 am-3:35 pm
・Standard work hours: 8:20 am-5:05 pm (eight hours/day); lunch break: 45 minutes
Days off ・125 days off/year (including two full days off per week [Saturday, Sunday], New Year holidays, Golden Week holidays, and 4-7 consecutive days off in summertime)
・Annual paid vacation (10 days in first year, 20 days max.)
・System of flexible days off available
Insurance Full employer-provided insurance (unemployment insurance, worker's accident compensation insurance, health insurance, pension plan)
Benefits ・Benefit plans: Mortgage plan, maternity leave (eight weeks each before and after childbirth), childcare leave (up to three years), family leave (up to one year), reduced work hours, defined contribution pension scheme, etc.
・Facilities: Dormitories for single employees, company-owned housing, recreational facilities, employee dining halls, training facilities, etc.
Training Group training for new employees, class-specific training, job-group-specific training for design and development, sales, production, and other positions, foreign-language training, computer training, distance learning, etc. (see Training page for more information)
