SMK Develops High-Reliability Coaxial Connector
With Less Than Half the Mounting Area

   SMK has developed “IA Series” small and high reliability coaxial connectors for a wide range of applications such as automotive devices and industrial equipment.
   In recent years, as devices have become lighter, thinner, and more capable of high-speed data transmission, the connectors used in them have also been required to become even smaller and support higher transmission speeds.
   IA Series, developed against this backdrop, is approximately 56% smaller in mounting area than the SMK’s conventional vertical FAKRA connector and has favorable high-frequency characteristics covering up to 6GHz.
   The full-lock structure with mating lock mechanism ensures high connection reliability and provides automotive-grade durability against severe vibration and shock while driving.
   In addition, the mating guide structure of the receptacle and plug greatly contributes to improving workability.
