SMK Develops Connector for Photovoltaic Module
“PV-05 Series” Compatible with EN 1500V,
Contributing to the Improved Photovoltaic Panel’s Efficiency
SMK Corporation has expanded the product lineup of connectors for photovoltaic module with “PV-05 Series” rated at the high voltage of 1500V DC. The sales launch is scheduled for January, 2018.
In recent year, the rated voltage of photovoltaic power generation systems has been increasing from 1000V to 1500V due to the improved efficiency of system voltage. The newly developed “PV-05 Series” is compatible with this increased voltage capacity.
The “PV-05 Series” is EN 1500V certified, and UL 1500V certification is due to be acquired.
In addition to securing excellent waterproof performance due to SMK’s original water-tight structure, the product achieves secure contact performance due to the terminal’s multi-point contact structure. (Patented) Cable requires no tightening torque control, contributing to reduced assembly man-hour.
This product enables mating compatibility with “PV-03 Series”, which is designed in accordance with global de-facto standard, allowing the use in countries around the world, including the United States, Europe and Japan.
