SMK Develops a Small Coaxial Connector
for High Pixel Automotive Camera Modules

SMK Corporation has developed a small coaxial connector for automotive camera modules.
Camera modules are increasingly found on vehicles in recent years for the purpose of rear viewing, surround monitoring, and sensing. There is also a new demand for digital transmission along with heightened pixel quality of the camera.
The new SMK coaxial connector was developed especially for high pixel automotive camera modules and is small for downsizing measures.
The waterproof and airtight structure of the cable assembly ensures an excellent waterproof performance. Two types of cables (straight and right angled) are provided, and customers are able to choose either according to the mounting location of the camera module.
