SMK Develops ECHONETLite™ Wired Adapter Which Enables External Operations of Home Appliances

SMK Corporation has developed a wired LAN adapter supporting ECHONETLite™ communication protocol.
Home appliances and home equipment such as a boiler, air conditioner or a security door lock can be easily networked by connecting to this new adapter. Smartphone operation of a multitude of home appliances and home equipment is possible through external and a local network via this adapter for Smart Home functionality.
The adapter can connect to home appliances and home equipment of various manufacturers with interfaces such as UART, HA, and RS-232C.
When installing this adapter in a home environment, it is embedded in commercially available electrical outlet and switchboxes making the cables invisible.
SMK intends to expand the sales of this adapter as a product contributing to the IoT-society.
