SMK Develops New Long-Travel Tactile Push Switch
SMK Corporation has expanded its existing product line of top push switch by developing a long-travel tactile switch offering a high operating force and a long life span.
The new switch features an innovative design making it possible to meet high operating forces of up to 5N (510gf), which is twice that of our conventional products. In addition to having a thin shape and long travel of 0.28mm the switch has the durability of 200,000 actuations.
This product makes it possible to support a wide-range of applications, such as digital action cameras and keyless entry systems. These applications require a firm tactile feel for a positive experience by the user when deployed. Also designed for use in smartphones and tablet PCs requiring ultra-thin and long life components making it an intriguing addition to our lineup of this high load tactile switches.
