SMK Launches Thin, High quality and Robust Capacitive Touch Panel with Glass Hardness of 6H.
The SMK OGS (One Glass Solution) Touch Panel Ideal for Thin Devices.

 SMK Corporation has launched its OGS (One Glass Solution) capacitive touch panel for automotive applications.
 SMK has mass-produced capacitive touch panels to the market, but this product contributes to thinner products by only using one sheet of glass.
 This product combines a glass cover and sensor surface, onto which a black matrix (BM) is printed, providing a decorative function. Soda Lime Glass is not the only type of the glass cover, there is also aluminosilicate strengthen glass type. Using this type of glass enhances the durability of the product and reducing the number of components becomes a key element in product thinness and lightness. The operating section is glass with a surface hardness of 6H and this extra hardness gives it a more luxurious feel. Anti-glare, anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint treatments improves readability in harsh light environments. The shape of this glass can be modified, so it has excellent design ability. SMK intends to expand its capacitive touch panel line, a commodity that is expected to increase in the future.
 We plan to produce 100,000 units a month at our Philippines plant.
