The SMK Group (President and Representative Director, Tetsuya Nakamura) has made a donation of approximately 20 million yen to support people affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake Disaster that occurred on 11th March this year, and to help towards the recovery of disaster-affected regions.

 This donation combines a little over 7.5 million yen, which was raised voluntarily by SMK employees in overseas and Japanese offices and sales bases, and contributions made by SMK Group companies and the Showa Ikeda Memorial Foundation.
The donation was deposited with local authorities in disaster-affected regions such as Miyagi Prefecture, and with the Japanese Red Cross Society and the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

 We once again express our deepest condolences to those affected by the disaster and pray for a speedy recovery.
