Development of the “TC-25 Series (50Ω Model)” Automotive Coaxial Connector for ETC/DSRC and Car Navigation Systems

   We are pleased to announce that we have developed and released the “TC-25 Series (50Ω)” automotive coaxial connector.
Our previously released TC-15 Series (50Ω/75Ω types) for automotive devices such as ETC gained high praise, and we have now extended our product repertoire with the development of a new product for ETC/DSRC and car navigation systems. This new model achieves a lower profile and saves more space than our previous models (38% reduction).
By using a metal lock system for receptacle and plug mating, this product possesses high mating retention force (connector part locking strength and cable tensile strength of 100N min).
While maintaining high-strength, this product has a low insertion force of 20N maximum, helping to improve operability. Featuring a design with improved resistance to twisting force (60% increase on our previous models), it is vibration proof, resistant to impact, and thus perfectly suited to automotive devices
We are scheduled to further expand this Series by developing a 75Ω model for digital broadcasts.
