Development of HDMI standard type D compliant receptacle

We are pleased to announce that we have developed an “HDMI standard type D receptacle” compliant with HDMI standard (Ver. 1.4) type D formulated for small AV equipment.
Matching 100Ω differential impedance, this product supports high speed transmission.
Our unique design structure stabilizes coplanarity and prevents terminal detachment. In addition, it can be easily inspected due to its structure which enables the soldered portion to be visually checked after mounting. 
 A half-lock structure double-spring is used for the contact between the plug shield and shell ensuring shell contact reliability.
Our two-type product repertoire is comprised of on-board and mid-mounting types. Length dimensions are 7.3mm for the on-board type and 7.7mm for the mid-mounting type achieving reduced space for PWB-mounting which is perfect for small AV equipment such as DVCs.
This product will be exhibited at the combined IT and electronics “CEATEC Japan 2010” exhibition held from 5th October, after which we will proceed with full-scale sales activities.
