SMB coaxial connector plugs for PWBs (pin-in-paste type) with a molded locking provision for automotive applications developed and marketed
We are pleased to announce our efforts to optimize the repertoire of the “VC series”, a SMB coaxial connector with a mold locking provision for automotive applications which lead to the development and commencement of marketing of a PWB plug (pin-in-paste type).
The “VC series” is an SMB (Sub Miniature typeB) based coaxial connector employing a molded locking system for automotive coaxial connectors. It is used as connection between car navigation system and GPS antenna, TV antenna and radio antenna or for rear-camera connection. The VC series is employed as the standard choice with European automakers and the market is expanding also in the U.S.
We have previously launched the same series and have earned favorable ratings; however, this product has achieved the strong market demand and has become smaller and also the mounting strength on PWBs has increased.
The mounting system on PWB is a pin-in-paste system. The pin of the connector is fixed by through-hole reflow, excellent mounting strength on PWBs is ensured.
A low profile design having a PWB height of 3.45mm and contributes to smaller equipments.
