Rectangular coaxial connector, TC-15 series (75Ω type), for car navigation equipment reception using terrestrial digital broadcast developed
We are pleased to announce the development and commencement of marketing of a rectangular coaxial connector, the TC-15 series (75Ω type).
Recent mainstream car navigation equipment usually receives terrestrial digital broadcast. We previously launched the TC-15 series connector (50Ω type) for in-vehicle products such as ETC equipment and earned favourable ratings. Designed for a 75 ohm impedance for reception of terrestrial digital broadcasts, this new product is its expansion for application in car navigation equipment and car TVs.
The engagement level is high with the use of a metal locking type mating system for the receptacle and the plug. (The locking strength of the connector and the tensile strength of the cable are as high as 100N min. and 88.3N min., respectively.) This coaxial connector is vibration resistant and very suitable for in-vehicle equipment.
