PB-4D series board-to-board connector developed,
with 0.7 mm stacking height and 0.4 mm pitch,
capable of high speed transmission and featuring counter-EMI measures
We are pleased to announce the development and the commencement of shipment of samples of the PB-4D series low profile 0.4 mm-pitch board-to-board connector, developed primarily for information communication equipment such as mobile phones and mobile PCs. Specifics of this connector are outline below.
Transmission signal speed has recently increased as the performance of portable equipment including mobile phones and SmartPhone has improved. As a result, connectors are required to be capable of higher speed transmissions and to be smaller and thinner.
Although this new product is as low in profile as only 0.7 mm (12.5% reduction from our previous product) when mated, it remains contributable for smaller and higher performance equipment design due to a capability to counter EMI issues and high speed transmission. These features are made possible by provision of a shielding cover on the circumference structure of the socket.
Further, the use of hold-down (reinforcement hardware) of proven performance enhances retention force when mated, and gives an engagement/disengagement feeling with a clicking sensation.
