We are pleased to announce the development and commencement of marketing of an SMT-ready 6 GHz RF coaxial connector with a switch, the "TS-11 series," intended for inspection and measurement of RF characteristics of mobile communication equipment such as mobile phones.

These new products are the successful realization of the industry's lowest product height of 0.95 mm (about a 37% reduction from our previous equivalent product) to help equipment respond to market requirements for still thinner, smaller and lighter equipment design possibilities. With the footprint being 2.4 mm X 2.4 mm (about a 32% reduction in the same term as above) and the mass being 0.015g (about a 40% reduction in the same term as above), they are the smallest and lightest in the industry.

Their operating frequency range covers DC to 6 GHz and provides a highly matching and excellent RF performance. For inspection and measurement of RF performance, their application is not only for mobile phones but extends to ITS-related products such as mobile ETC equipment and wireless LAN products.

These products will be exhibited at our technical exposition, "TEXPO 2008," which is to start on June 4, followed by active marketing efforts in the information communication equipment market.

Features	1) A straight type SMT-ready RF coaxial connector with a switch. 2) Their operating frequency range covers DC to 6 GHz and provides a highly matching and excellent RF performance. 3) With the receptacle height being 0.95 mm and the footprint being 2.4 mm X 2.4 mm and the mass being 0.015g, they are super low in profile and small enough to be the shortest, smallest and lightest in the industry. 4) Plugs are available in a mating type fit for manual inspection, a probe type good for automatic inspection, and probe self-floating type excellently flexible for deviating mounting locations. The probe type can be used commonly with our TS-7 series products. 5) The plug of the mating type employs a half-locking system and provides a clicking sensation for better operability. 6) Their high level isolation performance will contribute to reduced measurement error and noise during inspection. 7) Consideration is given for added resistance to the force applied from skewed plug insertion, such as PWB mounting strength, etc. 8) Receptacles are embossed-tape packaged for automatic mounting possibilities. 9) RoHS Directive compliant.
