SMK Technical Exposition, "TEXPO2008"

 

We are pleased to announce that we are holding the SMK Technical Exposition, “TEXPO2008,” for 3 days from Wednesday, June 4 through Friday, June 6, 2008 at the Manyo Banquet Room of the Le MERIDIAN PACIFIC TOKYO hotel situated in Shinagawa City, Tokyo.

This is going to be the seventh exposition since 1985 when the first exposition was held.

TEXPO 2008 will be a venue, under the slogan of “Vision to Creation, It’s Our Challenge”, featuring displays and demonstrations of about 350 items representing our new products and new technologies, which are outcomes of our research and development efforts, as well as near future technologies, and evaluation technologies for various analyses.

Exhibits will be separated into zones such as digital entertainment, automotive electronics, communications, living, industry, near future, production technology, evaluation technology and ecology. There will be static display, demonstration, and video showings in each zone.

The exposition will offer conferences for the three days from 4th through 6th.

Please note that both the exposition and conferences are open only for people who are invited.

Digital entertainment:

0.5 mm-spacing FPC connectors, HDMI product repertoire, CCFL tube sockets, RF remote controls, battery-free remote controls, film/film touch panels, and Bluetooth®Audio Engine

Automotive electronics:

Camera connectors, Smart Card connectors, terrestrial broadcast antenna connectors, wide-angle camera modules, remote controls, curved-surface touch panels, force feedback touch panels and Bluetooth® headphones

Communications:
0.4 mm-spacing board-to-board connectors, coaxial connectors with a switch, 0.3 mm-spacing I/O connectors, small and thin switches, RF type Windows Vista® remote controls, IR camera modules, high sound quality earphones, capacitance type touch panels, and wireless input pens
Living:
Photovoltaic module connectors, centrally controllable remote controls, monitor camera systems, touch panels for electrical house appliances, and visible light communications
Industry:
Rack and panel connectors, optical connectors for laser lights, pressure sensitive optical touch panels with force feedback feature, and WPAN modules
Near future:
Ultra thin card connectors, 0.1 mm-spacing FPC connectors, shielded FPC connectors, new concept remote controls, touch panels using new materials, and OLED displays
Production engineering:

Production engineering, overseas production network, ultra small molding technology, and flexible assembly technology

Evaluation technology:

Heat conduction, stress, dropping, time base response, transmission line losses, and antenna characteristics

Ecology:

Photovoltaic module connectors, remote controls using new materials, resource conserving switches and specifics of environmental preservation activities
