"Windows Vista compatible infrared remote control"
of a new design developed

We are pleased to announce the development of a "Windows Vista-compatible infrared remote control of a new design (R49N)" for use with PCs running on Microsoft’s Window Vista operating system. Marketing activities commenced in March 2008.

As a partner recognized by Microsoft, we developed a Windows Vista-compatible infrared remote control in Jan. 2007 to successfully supply to manufacturers of PCs and their peripheral equipment.

This new "Windows Vista-compatible infrared remote control of a new design (R49N)" is an embodiment of cosmetic design and operability of high level through substantial review to refine its size and shape. In concurrence with it, we succeeded in a smaller and slimmer design and also in change of batteries from AA to AAA for resource and energy conservation.

(Note 1) Windows Vista Media Center function

This is a function which realizes a comfortable PC environment in terms of digital entertainment, where entertainment, such as watching TV programs on a PC at times of the viewer's choice, viewing home-made video products through simple image management, creating a personal juke box comprising favorite pieces of music only, and creating digital photo albums, may be easily controlled with a remote control.

It is installed in Windows Vista PCs in which the Windows Vista Home Premium Edition and the Windows Vista Ultimate Edition are pre-installed.
