HDMI specification Type A Receptacle, vertical type
developed and marketed

We are pleased to announce that we have developed and commenced marketing of an HDMI specification Type A receptacle, vertical type, which is compliant with the HDMI standard. Specifics of the receptacle are given below.

In recent years, use of HDMI connectors in digital AV equipment such as thin TVs (LCD panel and plasma display panel types) and DVD players has steeply increased. Demand is expected to rise also in the PC market.

This new product is an addition to our "HDMI specification Type A receptacle, right angle type", that has been favorably accepted by the market since its introduction some time ago. Vertical versions are mountable directly on main PWBs of thin TVs and thus enhance freedom in engineering design.

This product is HDMI specification compliant and registered in the approved item list. It matches 100 ohm differential impedance and is capable of fast signal transmission. For anti-EMI measures, stable shielding performance is ensured by the employment of the shell structure of a multiple contact system. Provision of a screwing flange with the connector body increases resistance to insertion in skewed directions of the cable when they are inserted.
