10P (poles) interface connector receptacle
CR-10 series (mid-mounting type) marketed

We are pleased to announce that we have developed and commenced marketing of a 10P (poles) interface connector receptacle, CR-10 series (mid-mounting type). This new product is a low-profile version of the CR-10 series and the CR-10 (short type) which are compatible with the requirements of JEITA RC-5240 standard, Rectangular Connector for Mobile Phone, and which have been successfully marketed for some time by now. Specifics of this new product are given below.

The thinner and smaller cellular phones are designed, the lower in profile and smaller their components are required to be.

Employment of a mid-mounting system (to rest in a recess provided on a PCB) has realized a lower profile on a PCB. With its height above a PCB surface being only 1.0 mm [about a 63% reduction when compared to our CR-10 series products (on-board type)], the space occupancy will be reduced for thinner and smaller equipment design. One-piece molding provides sufficient strength against a skew insertion force.

This product model is available in 2 types, a standard type (contacts at the lower side) and reverse type (contacts at the upper side). We will continue to optimize our product repertoire to better serve the market.
