Single-side momentary slide switch
We are pleased to announce the development, and the commencement of shipment of samples, of the JSS series slide switches (single-side momentary). Particulars of this switch are outlined below.
In recent years, malfunctioning cases have increased with digital cameras, portable audio equipment and notebook PCs caused by unintended or unexpected touching of switches on these products due to their inadequate placement in bags or the like. To counter such problems, need for switches that are remote from malfunctioning has arisen.
These JSS series slide switches (single side momentary) are our answer to such need.
These new products contribute to prevent malfunction of equipment by using a property of momentary action (spring-back system). The structural design is optimized for their maximum height of 1.8 mm, the industry's thinnest for single-side momentary slide switches, to make this series of switches an optimal choice for smaller and thinner equipment design.
Designing through the use of simulation technologies for optimized coil spring configuration has made a 2.85 mm stroke and 20,000 operation cycles possible, both of which are the industry's longest for switches of this type, for improvement in operability of equipment and reliability.
