We are pleased to announce the development of the TS-9 series coaxial connector with a switch, particulars of which are outlined below.

Intended for applications with mobile communication devices such as PC cards and mobile phones, this new product is a coaxial connector featuring a switch for external connection of an internal antenna and external antenna.

The receptacle is of an SMT-ready right-angle type, and is as small as our already marketed coaxial connector with a switch for internal connection of RF inspection/measurement equipment. Among right-angle type coaxial connectors with a switch for external connection available on the market, the mounting space of this connector is one of the smallest (6.85 mm x 3.8 mm -- 52% reduction from our previous equivalents for external connection) in the industry. This is another excellent choice for designing equipment to be still smaller and thinner. The employment of our exclusive double-contact structure ensures superb contact reliability while in the normal-close condition.

Mating of the receptacle and the plug is of a half-locking system providing operability of a good clicking sensation. Operation life of 5,000 cycles has been realized due to excellent mechanical strength.

The operation frequency range extends from DC to as high as 3 GHz with a highly matching and good frequency characteristics.
