2-Dome Switch Developed
We are pleased to announce the development and commencement of shipment of samples of a 2-dome switch, particulars of which are outlined below.
In recent years, there has been increasingly strong market demand for added strength against stress applied to electronic components while being mounted in equipment, to address accidental incidents such as dropping equipment when in use, in addition to requirements for downsizing of electronic components to support smaller and thinner equipment design. Furthermore, the necessity for consideration for the environment during mounting operations of components in equipment is voiced.
This 2-dome switch is our answer to such market needs.
By the use in this switch of an exclusive mechanism free of parts such as key stems, its height has been successfully reduced for ever shorter and smaller equipment design. This switch employs a spring contact system which makes possible mounting of this switch, which is fixed on equipment housing, by pressing it on the PWB when mounting this switch in equipment, and thus, mounting strength has been enhanced and equipment reliability is raised Solder-free mountability of this switch, made possible by the system, is a feature good for environmental preservation during being recycled.
